The figures proposed in the budget indicates revenue receipts of Rs 8.03 crore and a consolidated income of Rs 19.48 crore with an opening balance of Rs 11.44 crore, as against the expenditure of Rs 9.84 crore proposed for the year.
Major income heads are Rs 1.59 crore from revenue from municipal property and Rs 3.16 crore from government grants and contributions. The expenditure heads are under public instruction (Rs 1.88 crore) and general administration (Rs 3.70 crore), besides expenses on public health and convenience, public safety, etc.
CMC chairperson Prathana Naik Gaunkar, deputy chairperson Samita Dhuri, six councillors, CMC Chief Officer Kedar Naik and his staff were present at the meeting.
